Semaglutide 1 mg is an injectable prescription medicine used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar (glucose) in adults with type 2 diabetes.

It works by mimicking the action of the hormone GLP-1 that is released from the gut after a meal. As well as helping insulin action, this hormone feeds back to the brain and makes us feel full. The main effect of taking Ozempic 4mg Pen weekly injection, is that a person’s appetite is much diminished, and they feel full most of the time. Not surprisingly, they end up eating far less and therefore lose weight.

It is also used to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, or death in adults with type 2 diabetes with known heart disease, and to reduce the risk of kidney disease worsening, kidney failure (end-stage kidney disease), and death due to cardiovascular disease in adults with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
